Arietta Wine
At Arietta, wine and music are inseparable expressions of harmony, structure, and emotion. Founded by Fritz Hatton, a renowned wine auctioneer and classical music enthusiast, alongside original winemaker John Kongsgaard, the winery was built on the idea that great wines—like great compositions—are defined by balance, precision, and layered complexity.
Today, under the direction of winemaker Andy Erickson, Arietta continues to craft limited-production Bordeaux-style blends from select vineyard sites across Napa Valley. These carefully chosen sites contribute depth, structure, and nuance, allowing each wine to reflect both its origin and the artistry behind it.
The connection to music remains central. Each wine is named after musical terms and compositions, reinforcing the idea that blending is akin to orchestration—bringing individual elements together into a cohesive whole.
The result is a portfolio of wines that emphasize elegance and structure over excess—expressions of Napa Valley that are refined, age-worthy, and composed with the same intention and balance found in classical music.
