Their journey began not in a vineyard, but through exploration—first sparked during a 2010 visit to Sonoma and Napa, then deepened over a decade of global travel through France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Croatia, and South Africa. Across regions and varietals, they refined their palate and perspective, yet consistently returned to the same conclusion: Northern California wines resonated most deeply.

What started as curiosity evolved into commitment. Leaving St. Louis behind, they relocated to California—first part-time, then fully—embedding themselves in the regions that inspired them. In 2018, a pivotal conversation with their son reframed their trajectory, challenging them to pursue their passion with intention. That moment catalyzed action.

Innumero Wines was built on a balance of strengths: Sheree’s operational focus and execution paired with Brian’s creative vision. Together, they developed their wine profiles and selected partners aligned with their standards. Their philosophy centers on the interplay between measurable precision and the intangible elements of winemaking—the artistry, intuition, and variability that define truly exceptional wines.

The name “Innumero,” meaning “countless” or “beyond number,” reflects this ethos. While metrics like vintage, brix, and time in barrel matter, they believe the defining qualities of great wine exist beyond calculation. Their work is an ongoing expression of that principle—crafting small-production wines that reflect terroir, time, and an unquantifiable sense of place.
