Gemstone Vineyard

Gemstone Vineyard is built around a singular vineyard in the heart of Yountville, where a mosaic of soils, exposures, and microclimates gives rise to wines of remarkable precision and individuality. Rather than blending fruit from across Napa Valley, every estate Cabernet begins with a deep understanding of the property’s distinct vineyard blocks, each contributing its own character to the final wine.

Farmed with meticulous attention to vine health and balance, the estate is divided into dozens of individual blocks that are harvested separately at peak maturity. This block-by-block approach allows the winemaking team to preserve the unique expression of each parcel before carefully blending the wines into the Estate Cabernet Sauvignon or selecting the finest lots for the Heritage and Alluvial Selection bottlings.

Under the direction of acclaimed winemaker Julien Fayard, Gemstone follows a philosophy of precision and restraint, allowing the vineyard rather than the cellar to define each vintage. The result is a collection of limited-production Cabernet Sauvignons that reflect the elegance, structure, and age-worthy character of one of Napa Valley’s most celebrated estate vineyards.
