Macauley Vineyard

At Macauley Vineyard, the focus is unwavering: sourcing exceptional fruit and crafting wines that reflect the depth and character of Napa Valley. Originally established in the 1980s and revived in 2001 by Mac Watson in honor of his mother’s label, the winery is built on a foundation of heritage and precision.

Working in close collaboration with winemaker Kirk Venge, Macauley produces limited quantities of wine from carefully selected vineyard sites across Napa Valley. Long-standing relationships with growers allow access to fruit from some of the region’s most sought-after appellations, each contributing its own structure and character.

The winemaking approach emphasizes small-lot fermentations and careful handling, allowing each vineyard source to express itself clearly. Cabernet Sauvignon remains central to the portfolio, supported by a focus on balance, depth, and consistency across vintages.
